Workers at Colegio Maya
The NHS has always been involved in the service for our Colegio Maya workers. As service always starts locally, it only made sense that the NHS serve our community, prior to outside communities. Regardless to the fact that the NHS has grown to the point of serving the outside community, we never forgot of our workers.
The NHS has offered classes in various subjects as well as hosting convivios in the Colegio Maya campus during weekends.
Morning Classes
Currently, NHS is providing weekly classes in the subjects of English and Exercise. Lesson plans are made for each lesson and the maintenance staff will go to the Gym or HUB 3 classroom. These courses are designed to give workers the ability to speak English fluently, for better job prospects, as well as nutrition and exercise courses to promote a healthy life style, and general well being.
Help Our Workers!
Because of the economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our worker's family members have been fired from their occupations, and their family income has been cut to a fraction of what they used to receive.
You can help by donating to the fundraiser we have created, and 100% of the funds will be distributed equally to all our Colegio Maya workers, or you can bid at the Silent Auction!
How To Help:
The Silent Auction is a popular Maya NHS event where members offer up different goods (food, getaways, services) and give the chance for our community to bid on what they would like. The money goes towards future convivios, the Workers Emergency found, and other NHS Events.
Inside the NHS, we hold a worker fund that was built to financially aid any worker part of the Colegio Maya staff that is in need of medical or any other financing. Donations to support the fund can be made through Go Fund Me and bank transactions (BI-2450016692).
