Hats For Heroes Saturday Session
On February 12th, NHS members came out to school on a Saturday morning as part of a Hats for Heroes work session. Hats for Heroes was started this school year by NHS and it involves members sewing and preparing scrub caps to be sent off to medical staff across Guatemala. Members worked together to cut fabric, sew, write cards, and prepare packages!
Silent Auction
This month we held another Silent Auction. Silent Auctions help give members of our surrounding community an opportunity to support different causes NHS supports. The funds raised by the Silent Auction go to Maya's amazing maintenance worker staff.
Members of NHS offered up goods, treats, and services that our community bid on in attempts to win! After a very successful auction, members delivered their offers to their respective winners!

Alcance Zoom Sessions
Alcance Zoom sessions started back up for the second semester this month! Alcance Por Mi Barrio is a foundation supported by NHS that gives local Guatemalan children a chance to find and persue new passions in an engaging way! Aside from weekly worksheets and videos, groups come together to teach students things like English, Math, Drawing, Crafts, and more in real time!
MAIA Classes
MAIA classes are back in session as well! Members of NHS join Zoom meetings with indigenous girls living in Atitlan. They give English lessons and get time to learn from each other! We are so happy to be back up and running!
Workers
While the Workers service group has been going since January, we are happy about the future of workers English and Exercise lessons. After hopes to be able to teach face-to-face after 2 years virtual, we have gotten the green light and are starting up in-person Exercise lessons.
